Structural Engineer

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Structural Engineer

Location: Ikoyi, Lagos

Employment Type: Full-time

Role Information

  • The Structural Engineer will be responsible for the design of buildings, bridges, and other types of structures by taking the architectural plans and creating a set of permutable construction drawings, as well as, building 2D and 3D models using computer-aided design technology (e.g. AutoCAD).
  • Also, he will measure loads and presses to secure the structural soundness of buildings and structures.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare drawings, specifications, calculations, charts, and graphs, and monitor work for compliance with applicable codes.
  • Plan and conduct independent work requiring judgment in the evaluation, selection, application, and adaptation of engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria.
  • Provide technical advice on safe designs and construction.
  • Obtain planning and/or building regulations approval.
  • Analyze configurations of the basic components of a structure.
  • Liaise with professional staff such as architects and engineers.
  • Monitor and inspect all work undertaken by contractors to ensure structural soundness.
  • Inspect properties to evaluate the conditions and foundations.
  • Any other assigned task(s).

Education & Experience

  • B.Eng. / HND in Structural Engineering, Civil Building Engineering, or any other related discipline.
  • Professional certification in Engineering or relevant areas
  • 3 years minimum experience in a reputable organization.

Competencies Required:

  • Good mathematical and analytical skills.
  • Highly creative with good problem-solving skills.
  • Good interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills
  • Attention to details
  • Proficiency in the use of office and engineering software like MS Office, AUTOCAD, Project, etc.
  • Good knowledge of construction processes, budgets, materials, and legal regulations.

Salary

N250,000 - N300,000 Monthly.

Environmental & Wastewater Engineer

Job Details

Responsible for performing skilled technical work that administers the use of the company’s technology in wastewater treatment plants and other solid/liquid waste facilities.

  • Designs systems to safely, efficiently, and effectively treat wastewater, remove harmful substances, and return water to the ecosystem; create domestic or industrial treatment plants for water or wastewater.
  • Knowledge of and skilled at proficient wastewater testing and treatment techniques.
  • Ability to analyze procedures as it pertains to various wastewater and solid waste facilities.
  • Ability to use a variety of application equipment
  • Assesses the need for wastewater treatment systems based on current and projected future residences; conducts feasibility studies for the construction of water treatment facilities in the area.
  • Analyzes various wastewater treatment methods used to prepare water for industrial and domestic use; recommend the most effective method.
  • Analyzes disposal methods or treatments for sludge; recommends and develops sludge treatment plants or methods to best serve the assigned area.
  • Designs layout and specifications for various pumping and lifting systems.
  • Ensures building, water, and equipment specifications comply with applicable local, state, and federal guidelines and codes.
  • Conducts environmental studies regarding the collection, treatment, or distribution of water or wastewater.
  • Provides government agencies with technical support and subject matter expertise on water resource and treatment issues.
  • Maintains knowledge and subject matter expertise.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Project Manager

Job Responsibilities

  • Determine and define project scope and objectives.
  • Predict resources needed to reach objectives and manage resources in an effective and efficient manner

Requirements

  • A Bachelor's Degree in Architecture.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is required.
  • 3 - 5 years experience in interior design.
  • Proven experience in project management.
  • Ability to lead project teams of various sizes and see them through to completion.
  • Strong understanding of formal project management methodologies.
  • Experience as a construction project manager, IT project manager, or ERP project manager.
  • Understanding of ERP implementation.
  • Experience overseeing a construction project.
