Job Description

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare, analyze, and present financial reports including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
  • Oversee accounts payable, receivable, and general ledger functions.
  • Manage the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
  • Monitor project budgets, track expenses, and analyze variances.
  • Maintain detailed cost records for construction projects, including direct and indirect costs.
  • Collaborate with project managers to forecast and monitor project cash flows.
  • Ensure compliance with local tax regulations, filing of tax returns, and management of tax-related audits.
  • Adhere to industry-specific accounting standards, including revenue recognition for real estate and construction.
  • Assist in preparing annual budgets and long-term financial projections.
  • Provide financial insights to support decision-making in real estate acquisitions, development, and property management


Requirements:

  • BSc/HND in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in accounting, preferably in the real estate or construction industry.
  • Hands-on experience with project accounting and real estate transactions is a strong advantage.
  • Proficiency in accounting software
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel for financial analysis and reporting.
  • Familiarity with IFRS and GAAP standards, particularly those applicable to real estate and construction.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with teams.
  • High attention to detail and organizational abilities.
