Job Description

Responsibilities:

  • Process, verify, and reconcile payroll transactions to ensure timely and accurate salary payments.
  • Handle payroll tax calculations, deductions, and compliance with local tax laws.
  • Prepare payroll-related journal entries and coordinate monthly payroll reconciliations.
  • Maintain records and oversee payroll-related queries and adjustments.
  • Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual reconciliations of accounts, including bank, vendor, and payroll accounts.
  • Assist with the preparation of financial statements and management reports.
  • Support monthly and year-end close processes.
  • Identify discrepancies and reconcile complex accounts, ensuring all financial transactions are accurately recorded.
  • Conduct variance analysis and provide insights into financial trends.
  • Ensure compliance with financial policies, local regulations, and internal controls.
  • Assist with audits and collaborate with external auditors to support financial data requests.
  • Generate and analyze financial reports for senior management.
  • Maintain accurate financial records and support data integrity across all financial systems.
  • Utilize advanced Excel skills to create dynamic financial models, dashboards, and data visualizations.
  • Use accounting software (e.g., Sage, QuickBooks, SAP) to maintain general ledger accounts and process transactions.
  • Streamline accounting operations and processes through effective software utilization.


Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Professional Certification: Fully qualified chartered accountant (ICAN, ACCA, or equivalent).
  • Minimum of 5 years in accounting, with specific experience in payroll, reconciliation, and financial reporting.
  • Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, v-lookups, macros, etc.).
  • Proficiency with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, or SAP.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy.
  • Ability to manage deadlines and work independently.
