Job Description
Responsibilities:
- Process, verify, and reconcile payroll transactions to ensure timely and accurate salary payments.
- Handle payroll tax calculations, deductions, and compliance with local tax laws.
- Prepare payroll-related journal entries and coordinate monthly payroll reconciliations.
- Maintain records and oversee payroll-related queries and adjustments.
- Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual reconciliations of accounts, including bank, vendor, and payroll accounts.
- Assist with the preparation of financial statements and management reports.
- Support monthly and year-end close processes.
- Identify discrepancies and reconcile complex accounts, ensuring all financial transactions are accurately recorded.
- Conduct variance analysis and provide insights into financial trends.
- Ensure compliance with financial policies, local regulations, and internal controls.
- Assist with audits and collaborate with external auditors to support financial data requests.
- Generate and analyze financial reports for senior management.
- Maintain accurate financial records and support data integrity across all financial systems.
- Utilize advanced Excel skills to create dynamic financial models, dashboards, and data visualizations.
- Use accounting software (e.g., Sage, QuickBooks, SAP) to maintain general ledger accounts and process transactions.
- Streamline accounting operations and processes through effective software utilization.
Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Professional Certification: Fully qualified chartered accountant (ICAN, ACCA, or equivalent).
- Minimum of 5 years in accounting, with specific experience in payroll, reconciliation, and financial reporting.
- Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, v-lookups, macros, etc.).
- Proficiency with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, or SAP.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
