Job Title: BackEnd Developer
Location: Lekki, Lagos
About the Role
- We are seeking a skilled Backend Developer to join our team and play a key role in building and maintaining the server-side components of our web applications. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and deploying robust and scalable backend systems using Node.js, Express.js, and TypeScript.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement RESTful APIs and microservices
- Develop and maintain backend logic using Node.js and Express.js
- Work with databases (SQL and NoSQL) to store and retrieve data efficiently
- Ensure optimal performance, scalability, and security of backend systems
- Write clean, well-documented, and testable code
- Collaborate with frontend developers to integrate APIs
- Troubleshoot and debug server-side issues
- Participate in code reviews and technical discussions
- Stay up-to-date with the latest backend technologies and trends
Qualifications
- 4+ years of experience in backend development
- Strong proficiency in Node.js, Express.js, and TypeScript
- Experience with RESTful API design and development
- Solid understanding of database design and optimization
- Experience with cloud platforms (Azure preferred)
- Familiarity with version control systems (Git)
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
Bonus Skills:
- Experience with serverless architectures (Azure Functions)
- Knowledge of GraphQL
- Familiarity with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines
- Experience with containerization (Docker)
- Contributions to open-source projects
