  • The Chief Security Officer (CSO) oversees all aspects of security operations for the organization, ensuring the safety and protection of assets, personnel, and operations.
  • This position provides strategic leadership in developing and implementing a comprehensive security framework tailored to the aviation industry’s unique challenges, maintaining compliance with regulatory standards.

Role
Most important responsibilities (main tasks, not personal):

  • Develop, implement, and manage robust security policies, procedures, and protocols. Conduct regular risk assessments to identify potential threats and vulnerabilities in operations. Monitor industry trends and regulatory changes to ensure compliance.
  • Oversee daily security operations, including access control and protocol enforcement. Supervise security personnel and collaborate with airport authorities and agencies. Manage security technology, including surveillance systems and alarms.
  • Develop and implement emergency response plans for security incidents. Lead investigations into breaches or incidents, providing detailed reports. Collaborate with law enforcement and regulatory bodies as necessary.
  • Train security personnel to meet LSG Sky Chefs’ operational requirements. Conduct security awareness and crisis management training for staff
  • Safeguard physical and intellectual assets, including inventory and sensitive data. Monitor and mitigate supply chain security risks.
  • Align security policies with local and international aviation regulations (e.g., NCAA, ICAO, IATA). Maintain accurate records for audits and inspections.

Job-Specific Qualifications / Knowledge (incl. specific duration (2 years LSG))

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Security Management, Criminology, or a related field. Master’s (preferred).
  • Professional certifications such as Certified Protection Professional (CPP) or Aviation Security Professional (AvSec) are preferred.
  • 7 - 10 years of experience in security management, with at least 3 years in a senior aviation security role.
  • Proven track record of managing high-risk, regulatory-compliant environments.
  • Strong leadership and crisis management capabilities.
  • In-depth understanding of aviation security regulations and best practices.
