Job Title: Cook
Location: Lekki Phase 1, Lagos
Job Description
- Prepare and cook a variety of dishes, with a focus on traditional and cultural cuisines.
- Ensure all meals are prepared to meet high-quality standards in taste, presentation, and portion size.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen, adhering to hygiene and food safety regulations.
- Plan and execute daily menus, incorporating cultural dishes as requested.
- Manage kitchen inventory, ensuring adequate stock of ingredients and timely procurement of supplies.
- Monitor and maintain the quality of ingredients, ensuring freshness and proper storage.
- Collaborate with the team to accommodate dietary restrictions and special requests.
- Innovate and introduce new recipes while preserving the authenticity of cultural meals.
- Manage time effectively to ensure meals are prepared and served on schedule.
- Ensure proper handling and maintenance of kitchen equipment.
Requirements
- Candidates should possess a Bachelor's Degree qualification with 1 - 3 years work experience.
- Proven experience as a cook, with expertise in preparing cultural and traditional cuisines.
- Formal culinary training or certification is an advantage.
- Strong knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Passion for cooking and creating authentic cultural dishes.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, as required.
- Strong interpersonal skills to work collaboratively with the team and communicate effectively.
Salary
N120,000 - N150,000 / month.
