Corporate Communications Coordinator


Job Description

JOB OBJECTIVE:

  • To support the Corporate Affairs team in executing strategies to enhance internal & external communications, brand reputation & organizational integrity
  • To promote the corporate identity of the company and ensure unified, consistent and positive messages for the organization
  • To ensure harmonious relationship between the company and its customers/the public
  • To effectively manage Promisor’s CSR plans and initiatives

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage company’s brand communications to ensure a positive corporate image and identity
  • Identify main client groups and audiences and determine the best way and form of communication
  • Create, edit and distribute communication materials (press releases, speeches and articles, inhouse journals and magazines), and coordinate events, managing digital content and fostering relationships with stakeholders
  • Liaise with all departments to organize, promote and effectively communicate departmental events through internal and external communication platforms
  • Develop new methods and creative strategies to increase internal and external awareness of key events.
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with media representatives
  • Manage corporate events in conjunction with the promotions and events manager i.e. product promotion, seminars, sales/exports, award ceremonies
  • Collaborate with Head, Employee Relations & Advisory Unit within HR on internal communication materials and staff events and maintain corporate/public celebrations calendar
  • Manage information on the company LinkedIn, internet, intranet web pages and other communications platforms as may be required from time to time
  • Arrange interviews and other forms of contact for company executives
  • Review media platform and other sources to gather intelligence on matters that can impact the business
  • Keep employees informed of company activities and other matters that may be of importance to them
  • Manage the company’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and provide advice on CSR initiatives and donations
  • Support Line Manager in matters relating to host communities and Ikun Dairy Farm Limited
  • Perform other related duties as may be assigned

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

  • A bachelor’s degree in communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing or a related field
  • At least 5 years post qualification experience in Corporate Communications in a relevant industry
