Job Title: Dispatch Rider

Job Summary

• We are seeking a reliable and professional Dispatch Rider to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring timely delivery of goods, packages, and documents to clients, as well as maintaining the condition of the items during transit. The role requires excellent time management, strong interpersonal skills, and a deep knowledge of road networks.

Key Responsibilities
Delivery and Pick-Up:

• Ensure the prompt delivery of goods, parcels, and documents to specified destinations.
• Pick up items from clients or vendors when required.

Route Planning:

• Plan efficient routes to ensure timely delivery and avoid delays.
• Use maps or GPS devices to navigate unfamiliar areas.

Maintenance and Safety:

• Perform routine checks on the bike to ensure it is in good condition.
• Adhere to all traffic laws and safety regulations to ensure a safe journey.

Customer Service:

• Communicate professionally with clients during pick-ups and deliveries.
• Handle customer inquiries courteously and resolve minor issues related to deliveries.

Documentation:

• Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including time, location, and recipient details.
• Obtain signatures or proof of delivery when required.

Care of Items:

• Ensure the security and condition of goods during transit.

Key Requirements

• Education: Minimum of SSCE or equivalent.
• Experience: Proven experience as a dispatch rider for a minimum of 2 years.

Skills:

• Familiarity with road networks and routes in Lagos State.
• Good time management and organizational skills.
• Basic communication skills (verbal and written).
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Technical Knowledge: Basic motorcycle maintenance skills are an added advantage.
• Other Requirements:
• Valid rider’s permit/license.
• A clean driving record.
• Physical fitness and stamina to perform tasks.

Work Environment:

• This role requires outdoor activities, traveling on a motorbike in various weather conditions.
• Flexible working hours may be necessary, including weekends or holidays.
