Job Description
- We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Group Accountant to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the financial activities of the group, including budgeting, cash flow management, credit control, and preparation of monthly financial statements.
- Reports to: Group Principal Consultant
Responsibilities
- Prepare and manage the group's annual budget, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
- Develop and maintain cash flow forecasts to ensure adequate liquidity.
- Implement and maintain effective credit control policies and procedures.
- Generate accurate and timely monthly financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
- Analyze financial performance and provide insights to management for informed decision-making.
- Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards, regulatory requirements, and group policies.
- Provide technical accounting guidance and support to subsidiary companies.
- Develop and maintain relationships with external auditors, bankers, and other stakeholders.
Requirements
- BSc. HND Accounting or finance related course
- Professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent).
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in a group or multinational environment.
- Strong technical accounting knowledge, including IFRS and local accounting standards.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Must reside within Ejigbo & Environs for proximity.
