About the job

The ideal candidate will create, draft, and design mechanical and piping systems using customer specification and recommendations.This individual will be involved in calculating and analyzing parameters to ensure workability of installations and will work hand in glove with the installations team

Responsibilities

Create, review, and modify technical drawings and designs for mechanical systems using AutoCAD, Inventor, and SolidWorks.
Develop and optimize 2D and 3D models for industrial piping and related installations.
Create as-built and bespoke designs according to provided specifications
Perform calculations related to engineering mechanics, fluid mechanics and thermodynamics for the development of clients' solutions
Accurately quantify materials, components, and labor for project proposals and execution.
Collaborate with the project team to ensure compliance with technical specifications and standards.
Support the installation team by providing design clarifications and updates as needed.
Assess the feasibility of product design
Review defunct products

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
2+ years' of industry experience (NYSC included) in a similar role
Proficiency in AutoCAD and Autodesk Inventor. Knowledge of AutoCAD Plant 3D, Pipenet, Navisworks is a plus
More than average intellectual ability as regards to calculations and analysing engineering systems
Strong skills in 2D and 3D modeling and ability to perform accurate quantifications for projects.
Excellent attention to detail and ability to deliver quality designs within deadlines.

Knowledge of mechanical installations and industrial service processes, especially piping systems.
Effective communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with diverse project teams
