About the job

  • The Marketing and Communications Officer will spearhead marketing strategies and activities to promote Ship Afrika International’s brand, services, and goals.
  • These include managing all print and digital marketing efforts, creating content for online platforms, developing advertising campaigns, and engaging with customers to enhance the company's market presence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement marketing strategies, including print, online, and event marketing.
  • Manage the company’s social media accounts, website updates, and email marketing campaigns.
  • Create marketing materials such as flyers, brochures, and promotional content.
  • Analyze market trends and competitors to inform marketing decisions.
  • Collaborate with external vendors for design, printing, and advertising needs.
  • Organize and participate in trade shows, exhibitions, and promotional events.
  • Monitor and report on the effectiveness of marketing campaigns.
  • Assist in building and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders, partners, and media contacts.
  • Any other responsibility as may be assigned by the General Manager

Job Specification

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • At least two (2) years of experience in marketing, preferably in logistics or related industries.
  • Proficiency in digital marketing tools and platforms (e.g. social media, SEO)
  • Fast learner with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, maintain focus and adapt to a variety of challenges.
  • Working knowledge of PC or Mac computer systems.
  • Excellent written/verbal communication and time management skills.
  • Great interpersonal and team-work skills.
  • Creativity and attention to detail.
