Job Description
Responsibilities:
- Conduct pre-employment,periodic, and fitness-for-duty medical evaluations
- Identify and assessworkplace health risks and implement strategies to mitigate them
- Develop and implementoccupational health policies and procedures aligned with industry standards andregulations
- Design and monitor healthsurveillance initiatives, such as vaccination programs and screenings.
- Ensure the organizationcomplies with local, national, and international occupational health and safetyregulations
- Train employees andmanagement on occupational health issues, workplace safety, and wellness.
Requirements:
- MedicalDegree (MBBS, MD) with Specialization in Family Medicine
- MDCN Certified
- Certification inOccupational Medicine or a related field from a recognized institution.
- Additional certifications inindustrial health or workplace safety (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH) are advantageous.
- Aminimum of 8 years of relevant experience in Occupational or industrialmedicine
- Experienceworking in a private institution is an added advantage
- Expertisein diagnosing and managing work-related illnesses and injuries
- Excellentcommunication and interpersonal skills to interact with employees andmanagement effectively
- Proficiencyin risk assessment and mitigation strategies
- Knowledgeof Nigerian Labor Law concerning occupational health and safety
- Abilityto design and implement workplace wellness and health programs
- Familiarity with Electronic medicalrecords (EMR) and occupational health software
- Awareness of workplaceergonomics and environmental health concerns
- Familiarity with health andsafety management systems and frameworks.
- Adaptability to diverse patient needs and healthcare environment
