Pharmacist


Job Description

Responsibilities:

  • Accurately dispense prescribed medications to patients.
  • Review prescriptions for accuracy and ensure compatibility with patient health conditions.
  • Counsel patients on medication use, side effects, and storage.
  • Maintain an adequate stock of medications and other pharmaceutical supplies.
  • Conduct regular inventory checks and reorder items as necessary.
  • Ensure the proper storage of medications in compliance with regulations.
  • Adhere to all pharmaceutical regulations and laws.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records for prescriptions, inventory, and patient interactions.
  • Prepare and submit required reports to regulatory authorities.
  • Provide professional advice on drug interactions and contraindications.
  • Address customer inquiries and resolve complaints promptly.
  • Build relationships with healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care.
  • Assist in developing and implementing policies and procedures for the pharmacy
  • Train and supervise pharmacy technicians and assistants.
  • Ensure the pharmacy environment is clean, safe, and conducive for patients.



Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmacy (B.Pharm) or Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D).
  • Licensed by the Pharmacists Council of Nigeria (PCN).
  • Minimum of 2 years in a retail or hospital pharmacy (specific experience optional).
  • Strong knowledge of pharmaceutical standards and drug regulations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in using pharmacy management software.
  • Attention to detail and organizational skills.
