We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Plumbing Engineer

Location: Isheri North - OPIC, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time
Reports to: Senior Engineer, Engineering Manager, or Project Manager
Working schedule: Mondays to Fridays 8am - 5pm

Job Summary

  • Design, develop, and oversee the installation of plumbing systems for buildings, ensuring that they are safe, efficient, and meet relevant codes and regulations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and Development: Design plumbing systems, including water supply, drainage, and gas systems.
  • System Analysis: Analyze plumbing systems to ensure that they meet the required specifications and regulations.
  • Code Compliance: Ensure that plumbing systems meet relevant codes, regulations, and industry standards.
  • Project Management: Oversee the installation of plumbing systems, ensuring timely and within-budget delivery.
  • Collaboration: Work with architects, engineers, and contractors to ensure that plumbing systems are properly integrated into the overall project.
  • Testing and Commissioning: Test and commission plumbing systems to ensure that they are functioning properly and safely.
  • Documentation: Create and maintain technical documentation, including designs, calculations, and test reports.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
  • Age range: 22 - 30
  • Experience: 1-3 years.
  • Plumbing Engineering Knowledge: Proficiency in plumbing engineering principles, including water supply, drainage, and gas systems.
  • Software Skills: Familiarity with plumbing engineering software, such as Autodesk Revit, Navisworks, or Reliance.
  • Communication: Effective communication and collaboration skills.

Certifications:

  • Professional Engineer (PE) License: Obtain a PE license to practice as a professional engineer.
  • Certified Plumbing Engineer (CPE): Obtain a CPE certification to demonstrate expertise in plumbing engineering.

Working Conditions:

  • Office: Typically work in an office environment, with frequent visits to project sites.
  • Construction Site: May work on construction sites, overseeing the installation of plumbing systems.
  • Laboratory: May work in a laboratory setting, testing and debugging plumbing systems.

  • The salary range for Plumbing Engineers varies depending on factors like location, experience, and industry.
  • In Nigeria, the average salary for a Plumbing Engineer is around N4 million - N8 million per annum.
