About Us:
We are a fast-growing eCommerce company in Nigeria. We are seeking a dedicated Product Sourcing/Procurement Assistant to help us source quality products, negotiate with suppliers, and ensure smooth delivery to our warehouses.
Key Responsibilities:
- Research products and suppliers on Alibaba, 1688, and other platforms to meet company needs.
- Research products and suppliers in Nigerian (Lagos) markets
- Negotiate favorable terms, including pricing and delivery timelines, with suppliers.
- Request and evaluate product samples to ensure quality standards.
- Coordinate shipment to our warehouses.
- Maintain accurate records of supplier interactions, purchase orders, and product details.
- Track shipments and provide timely updates to the reporting manager.
- Build strong relationships with reliable suppliers while safeguarding company confidentiality.
Qualifications:
- At least 2 years of experience in product sourcing or procurement.
- Familiarity with Alibaba, 1688, or similar platforms.
- Proven negotiation and communication skills.
- Knowledge of international shipping processes and customs requirements.
- Proficiency in MS Office, Google Sheets, or procurement software.
