Job Description

Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop program plans, objectives, and strategies in alignment with the organization's mission and goals.
  • Conduct research and assessments to identify community needs and opportunities for program growth.
  • Oversee the execution of program activities, ensuring timelines, budgets, and deliverables are met.
  • Coordinate with partners, stakeholders, and internal teams to ensure seamless program operations.
  • Develop and implement monitoring and evaluation frameworks to track program outcomes and impact.
  • Prepare reports and presentations on program performance for donors, partners, and the leadership team.
  • Build and maintain relationships with beneficiaries, donors, government agencies, and other stakeholders.
  • Represent the organization at community events, meetings, and forums related to program activities.
  • Manage program budgets and ensure funds are allocated appropriately.
  • Identify and pursue funding opportunities, including grant applications and proposals.
  • Provide training and technical support to program staff and volunteers.
  • Share best practices and lessons learned to enhance program effectiveness.


Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences, Development Studies, Non-Profit Management, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in program management, preferably in a non-profit or development sector.
  • Strong knowledge of program design, monitoring, and evaluation frameworks.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with project management tools.
  • Experience working with diverse communities and a commitment to social justice and equity.


Additional Skills(optional):

  • Experience in grant writing and fundraising.
  • Knowledge of local languages or cultures relevant to the program area.
  • Ability to travel to program sites as needed.
