Job Title: Project Manager - Wellhead Engineer

Location: Victoria Island, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Description 

  • We are looking to hire an experienced wellhead engineer conversant with slick line operations, marine services, and first and second-line maintenance for the wellhead.

Project Planning and Execution:

  • Lead and manage all wellhead maintenance and intervention projects
  • Develop project schedules, budgets, and resource plans to ensure timely delivery

Team Management:

  • Supervise and coordinate technical teams, including engineers, technicians, and contractors
  • Provide guidance and training to ensure safety and operational excellence

Wellhead Maintenance:

  • Oversee maintenance, repair, and servicing of wellhead components, including gate valves, actuators, flanges, and choke boxes
  • Monitor the installation, testing, and integrity of wellhead equipment

Business Development:

  • Build and manage a robust business development pipeline from lead generation to converted sales
  • Leverage technical expertise to understand client needs and translate them into commercial solutions
  • Develop and implement effective sales strategies to achieve revenue targets and market expansion goals

Procurement and Inventory Management:

  • Collaborate with procurement teams to source materials like ring gaskets, bolts, nuts, lubricators, and hydraulic oil
  • Maintain inventory of wellhead equipment and consumables

Compliance and Safety:

  • Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and company policies
  • Conduct regular safety audits and implement HSE (Health, Safety, and Environment) best practices

Stakeholder Communication:

  • Serve as the primary contact between the client, contractors, and Nexx Oil Services Ltd. management

  • Provide regular progress updates and resolve project-related issues promptly

Documentation and Reporting:

  • Prepare detailed project reports, including work logs, maintenance records, and project milestones
  • Analyze project performance and recommend improvements

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Petroleum, or related Engineering field
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in wellhead maintenance or oilfield operations
  • Certification in Project Management (PMP/PRINCE2) is a must
  • 2 - 5 years’ experience in Oil and Gas is a MUST
  • Strong leadership, problem-solving, and organizational skills
  • Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel)
  • Solid knowledge and understanding Bids and Tenders
  • Proficient in project management tools and software
  • Familiarity with wellhead components such as gate valves, NRV, lubricators, and tree caps
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Salary
N300,000 - N400,000 monthly.
