Composite Construction is a leading Building and Construction Company based in Lagos with interest in Real Estate (residential, commercial, or industrial).

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Quantity Surveyor - Junior Level

Location: Ikeja, Lagos

Job Summary

  • We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated Junior Quantity Surveyor to join our team.
  • The successful candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the planning, financial management, and execution of construction projects.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in preparing feasibility studies, cost estimates, and budgets for prospective projects.
  • Support the preparation of detailed bills of quantities, tender documents, and contract packages.
  • Participate in evaluating and selecting subcontractors and suppliers.
  • Conduct on-site measurements, cost monitoring, and progress assessments to ensure financial control.
  • Prepare and process interim valuations and payment applications for contractors and subcontractors.
  • Identify and quantify variations and assist in negotiating change orders with contractors.
  • Monitor and evaluate the performance of work to ensure adherence to budgetary constraints.
  • Assist in the preparation of final accounts, ensuring all claims and payments are resolved.
  • Maintain project records and documentation for auditing and future reference.
  • Provide input into lessons learned to improve future project performance.

Requirements

  • Minimum of OND/HND in Quantity Surveying
  • 2 - 5years of hands-on experience in quantity surveying roles.

Skills and Competencies:

  • Proficiency in quantity surveying software will be an added advantage.
  • Strong analytical and numerical skills with a high level of accuracy.
  • Sound understanding of construction methods, materials, and regulations.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage with clients, contractors, and team members effectively.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
  • Problem-solving mindset with attention to detail.
