Job Summary
- The Restaurant Kitchen Supervisor oversees kitchen operations, ensuring all food preparation meets quality standards, and manages the kitchen staff to maintain efficient workflow and service.
- The role requires experience in kitchen management, excellent leadership skills, and a commitment to food safety and hygiene.
Responsibilities
- Supervise daily kitchen operations, ensuring food preparation aligns with restaurant standards and timing.
- Oversee and coordinate kitchen staff to ensure tasks are completed effectively.
- Monitor inventory levels, order supplies, and reduce waste while controlling costs.
- Enforce strict health and safety standards, including food safety and sanitation guidelines.
- Assist in menu planning and recipe standardization.
- Conduct regular inspections of food preparation, storage, and cooking stations.
- Train and mentor kitchen staff, ensuring consistent quality and efficiency.
- Address any kitchen equipment issues and coordinate repairs as needed.
- Handle feedback or complaints related to kitchen operations promptly.
Requirements
- 3 - 5 years proven experience as a Kitchen Supervisor or similar role.
- Culinary certification or relevant culinary education is an advantage.
- Strong knowledge of kitchen operations, food safety, and sanitation standards.
- Leadership and people management skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and make quick decisions.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
