We are recruiting to fill the position below:
Job Title: Senior Backend Developer (Lamp Stack)
Location: Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain RESTful APIs using PHP (Laravel, Symfony, etc.).
- Design and manage relational databases (MySQL/PostgreSQL).
- Build microservices and optimize backend logic.
- Integrate third-party systems (HRMS, Active Directory, wearables, etc.).
- Implement caching strategies using Redis or Memcached for performance optimization.
- Ensure security and encryption, following best practices in data privacy and compliance.
- Optimize backend services for scalability in cloud environments (AWS / Azure).
- Implement server-side security features like data encryption, SSL/TLS.
- Troubleshoot, debug, and upgrade backend systems.
- Manage web servers (Apache, Nginx) and maintain server configurations.
- Document technical designs and system architecture.
- Collaborate with DevOps for smooth CI/CD workflows using Git, Jenkins, Docker.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field.
- 5+ years of backend development experience with PHP (Laravel, Symfony) and MySQL/PostgreSQL.
- Strong understanding of the LAMP stack and web server management (Apache, Nginx).
- Experience with microservices architecture and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Proficiency in API development and integration.
- Expertise in database design, optimization, and query performance with MySQL or PostgreSQL.
- Strong knowledge of cloud platforms like AWS / Azure.
- Familiarity with security best practices, data encryption, and access control mechanisms.
- Experience with version control tools (Git) and CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions).
Salary
N800,000 / N1,200,000 / month.
