Job Summary
- A Telephone Sales Officer is responsible for reaching out to potential and existing customers over the phone to promote products or services, close sales, and meet sales targets.
- The role requires excellent communication, persuasion skills, and a customer-centric approach to build rapport and drive business growth.
Key Responsibilities
Customer Engagement:
- Make outbound calls to potential or existing customers to inform them about products, services, or promotional offers.
- Handle inbound inquiries and provide detailed information about offerings.
Sales Conversion:
- Persuade customers to purchase products or services by highlighting their benefits and addressing objections.
- Meet or exceed sales targets and key performance indicators (KPIs).
Needs Assessment:
- Understand customer needs and recommend suitable products or services.
- Tailor pitches to address specific customer pain points or requirements.
Follow-ups:
- Schedule follow-up calls to nurture leads and close deals.
- Send emails or messages as required to keep prospects engaged.
Customer Relationship Management:
- Maintain detailed records of customer interactions in the CRM system.
- Build long-term relationships by providing excellent customer service and support.
Team Collaboration:
- Work closely with the sales and marketing teams to align strategies and share customer feedback.
- Participate in sales training sessions and team meetings.
Market Awareness:
- Stay informed about industry trends, competitor products, and promotional offers.
- Communicate relevant updates to customers to stay competitive.
