Job Title: Truck Driver

Location: Onpanu, Lagos

Job Overview

• We are looking for a reliable and skilled Truck Driver to transport goods across [region, state, or nationally] for our company.
• The ideal candidate will have a clean driving record, a valid CDL (Commercial Driver’s License), and a strong commitment to safety and punctuality.
• As a Truck Driver, you will be responsible for loading and unloading cargo, ensuring the safe delivery of goods, and maintaining the vehicle in excellent working condition.

Key Responsibilities

• Safely operate a commercial vehicle to transport goods to specified destinations.
• Inspect vehicle before and after trips to ensure it is in good working condition (checking brakes, lights, tires, etc.).
• Load and unload cargo efficiently and safely.
• Follow all traffic laws and regulations, ensuring timely deliveries.
• Maintain accurate logs of hours worked, routes taken, and fuel consumption.
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers and supervisors about delivery status and potential delays.
• Adhere to safety guidelines and practices, including wearing safety gear when necessary.
• Maintain cleanliness and proper functioning of the truck.
• Assist in planning delivery routes to optimize efficiency.
• Complete paperwork such as delivery receipts, inspection reports, and vehicle maintenance logs.

Qualifications

• Valid Commercial Drivers License (Class A or B) license.
• Proven experience as a truck driver, preferably with 3-6 years of driving experience.
• Clean driving record (no major traffic violations or accidents).
• Ability to operate manual and automatic transmission vehicles.
• Strong knowledge of road safety regulations and traffic laws.
• Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently.
• Good communication skills.
• Must be able to work under pressure.
• SSCE required
• Ability to drive for long hours, including overnight trips.
• Ability to work in various weather conditions and handle physically demanding tasks.

Benefits

• Salary: N80,000 / month.
