The jobs are carried out by individuals who ensure that the environmental impact of businesses, daily living, and different economic sectors are reduced to a safe and reasonable level. Also, these jobs can be available in various industries which include agriculture, manufacturing, transportation, recycling, and waste management.

Importance of Green Jobs
The environment is susceptible to various damage and degradation but green jobs are capable of combating the potential destruction and promoting the sustainable use of natural resources.
Also, the idea is to fight a common cause. Therefore, Green jobs can nurture social equity to create lucrative employment opportunities for people with diverse backgrounds. According to World Economic Forum, addressing climate crises has the potential to create about 400 million jobs by 2030.
Furthermore, it is important to note that green jobs can and have been of great benefit to the economy by creating new markets and steering innovation in various sectors and fields.

Yes. Green-collar jobs are also known as green jobs and they consist of occupations that ensure effective climate policies and ideas.

Young People in Green Jobs
While young people are currently being supported to thrive in their green jobs, some of them have gotten hold of the baton and have begun to make waves. Popular Temilade Salami, also known as the Global TEMI is a climate education consultant and the founder of Ecochampions Nigeria, an environmental conservation organization. Through ecochampions, a network of environmentalists and people who have a flair for sustainability is built.
Apart from Temilade, other young people have stood up to the cause and have taken their place in various green jobs. Also, many GEN-Zs have become more vocal and passionate about sustainability that it has moved them to join different organizations where they can lend their voices. In a recent research conducted by Deloitte, it was revealed that the GEN-Z generation is most likely to prioritize sustainability practices when considering a job opportunity.
