About the Job
- The Solar engineer will be responsible to provide diagnostic, troubleshooting, preventive, and corrective maintenance services to residential and commercial PV systems, electric vehicle charging stations, and energy efficiency installations comprising the client's installed bases.
- The Solar engineer will be asked to assist in commissioning the solar array and monitoring systems during project installation.
- The ideal candidate has significant experience and understanding in designing and installing commercial and residential PV systems.
Responsibilities
- Performing required preventive maintenance activities on inverters to maintain warranty coverage
- Responding to corrective maintenance cases on PV systems - includes troubleshooting, testing, repairing activities, and updating online case logs accurately
- Attending and demonstrating outstanding performance at multiple training schools
- Working safely and following company and industry-standard safety requirements
- Report writing, where required, to comply with deliverables
- Working closely with members of the team to respond to open case directions and provide data where requested
- Prioritizing conflicting work requests and escalations
- Working with customers unhappy with the performance or functionality of their systems
- Ensuring tooling, electronics, software, and company property issued are accounted for and taken care of
- Supporting the ongoing development and improvement of the client's Field Service team
- Extensive hands-on experience installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting PV systems
- Comfortable in a fast-paced field environment and ability to travel

Qualifications
- Solar training and Certification are strongly preferred or graduates from a technical university or polytechnic
- Electrician training is required to perform electrical work
- Experience working on a roof or a plus
- Have a minimum of three (3) years of electrical and home wiring experience
- Proficiency in installing all types of inverters & able to work with various ground and roof mount racking systems
- Understanding of the electrical codes that relate to PV installations.

Job Purpose:
- The Senior Geoscientist will be an active member of the Subsurface team.
- The candidate is expected to deliver timely, high-quality geological analysis and interpretation to Company’s development operations; in line with the overall technical strategy and goals, while maintaining high professional standards.
Responsibilities and Key Objectives:
- Seismic Interpretation, characterization, and mapping of faults & fractures at reservoir levels. Generating and utilizing seismic attributes for better characterization of fractures, faults, and other structural, stratigraphic, and sedimentary features.
- Interpret geophysical and geological data, use geologic concepts, and integrate information from a variety of geologic disciplines to develop leads, locate new exploration targets, estimate volumes, and recommend drillable prospects.
- QC, analyze and integrate geological, geophysical, and production data to develop existing fields, identify upside potential and recommend optimal good placement for field development.
- Integrate large amounts of geological, petrophysical, and geophysical data to generate static models for input into reservoir simulation, reserves estimation, and development planning.
- Perform detailed reservoir characterization using advanced geological analyses to support characterization & field development, platform evaluation, and well planning/ drilling operations.
- Provide subsurface input for the design of field development plans.
- Work with drilling and reservoir engineering teams to generate well designs, evaluate, and review target location and logging requirements based on good objectives.
- Participate in exploration and development drilling operations.
- Work on new ventures in emerging areas including performing geophysical studies.
- Maintain beneficial and positive relationships with government regulatory and third-party contractor service providers when necessary.
- Support Subsurface-related regulatory and compliance efforts where needed.

EDUCATION:
- University degree in Geology or Geophysics – BSc. A Master’s degree in geosciences is an added advantage.
- Demonstrable technical expertise, in particular, significant experience in seismic interpretation, development of structural and stratigraphic models using well and seismic data, and integration with reservoir information.
- Proficient in the use of workstation-based software (G&G applications and databases). Proficiency in Petrel is preferred.
- Should have a good understanding of production geology, including interpretation of fluid, test, and pressure data.
- Should have a good understanding of wellsite and operations geology.
- Good proficiency with MS Office suite – Excel/PowerPoint/Word
- Designated team player who can collaborate with other team members to proffer solutions.
